Today’s media has a lot to answer for , they place so much attention on being the ‘perfect’ size and shape, the latest diet crazes, the trials and tribulations of movie stars as they ‘battle’ their bodies from anorexia to mild chubbiness. They forget to tell you that the perfect body does not make for the perfect life, that it will not generally bring you the happiness you desire in and of itself. They also don’t share with you the possibility that you can be experiencing outrageous health and wellbeing at any size or shape.
Do you really want to be on the crazy diet and exercise merry-go-round for the rest of your life? I am sure you don’t, however until we change the way we feel about ourselves no amount of dieting or weight loss is going to be the solution to your issues with food, body shape or reaching and maintaining your idea weight. And it is definitely not the path to outrageous health and wellbeing.
So why when they get to their desired size or weight are they still not satisfied? Why do they then go on to want to adjust other things about themselves - the shape of their bottom, arms or nose or even their relationship? What they want is not about their weight, or size, what they eat or even how often they exercise. It’s about the quality of their life; how they feel every day when they wake up and then every second of that day - it’s about how they feel in their own skin. If you spend all day thinking about all the ways you’re not perfect, then you’ll never feel that sense of outrageous health and wellbeing - and you will never live the great life you deserve.

What I’ve observed is women feeling less than their best looking for a solution for their unhappiness or discontent. Sadly the women who have achieved their ‘ideal’ weight or size, are often still unhappy and discontent with who they are, and how they feel. The reality is they were really looking for what they thought being their ideal weight would give them. Usually what they want is to feel happy, energetic, vibrant; they want to feel outrageously happy and healthy! So why when they get to their desired size or weight are they still not satisfied? Why do they then go on to want to adjust other things about themselves - the shape of their bottom, arms or nose or even their relationship? What they want is not about their weight, or size, what they eat or even how often they exercise. If you spend all day thinking about all the ways you’re not perfect, then you’ll never feel that sense of outrageous health and wellbeing - and you will never live the great life you deserve.
So what’s the solution? I’m glad you asked. The solution is to learn how to feel outrageously healthy and happy TODAY regardless of your weight, size, shape or health issues. Outrageous health starts with the quality of your life and the connection with yourself and then flows into all areas of your existence. You don’t need to get thin or fit first, because once you know how to feel outrageous health and wellbeing easily and effortlessly then everything else follows from there. It’s a natural progression. Will you need to take some action - absolutely - but once you stop focusing on all that is wrong with you, making steps toward the outrageously healthy you and the life you deserve is easy!

In just a few weeks, the clock will strike midnight, the ball will drop, and a new year will be upon us. Champagne corks will fly and confetti will explode into the air. The 2009 chapter of our lives is rapidly coming to a close and we must prepare now to turn the page. The festivities will end no sooner than they began. As the flashing strobe lights turn off and the hangover sets in, the morning of January 1st will quickly be upon you. Life as you know it will be very much the same without a definite plan of action for 2010. All the hope and smoke you mustered about how this is the year for change will smolder into a cold pile of ash. Without a plan that is! In this article you are going to learn three powerful strategies that you can begin implementing now that will change your life when you put them to work for you. Believe and implement them for massive change in 2010.
1. Begin with the end in mind- Is there something you want to accomplish this year? What do you want? To lose weight? Gain muscle? Make more friends? Have more time with your family? Your goals are yours. Establish goals in all aspects of your life starting with the end in mind. From there you can work backwards. All goals must be measurable and obtainable. To help you with the brainstorming process, utilize Mind Mapping software. You can download a free version of “Free Mind” and map your thoughts. Define EXACTLY what you want! Remember that fuzzy targets do not get hit!
2. Change the words in your head- Control your self talk because the 2500 words/minute running through your brain dictate who you are and what you are capable of. These messages are formed from what we learned by our mothers, fathers, teachers, preachers, coaches and big pharmacy. Realize right now you will change your life by leaps and bounds when you understand the power of self talk. Your brain only knows what you tell it. You are allowed to fool your brain. For example, tell yourself you are a multi-millionaire.Your brain will believe it. When you modify the words being spoken in your head, you will change your life
3. Write it down- By recording every bite of food that goes into your mouth this month, I promise you that you will lose 10 pounds in 30 days. Do not believe me? Do it and prove me wrong. Successful people keep score because they know what is at stake. Play every ace you have! Record your decisions and ask a friend if they believe the choices you are making are driving you closer to or further from your goal.
Utilize these three powerful strategies! Believe they will change your life! Fail forward FAST! In order for things in your life to change, YOU must change. You cannot continue to do what you did and anticipate a different outcome. Expect miracles and believe everthing you desire is possible. I am Dr. Shaun Stuto and I wish you a life of abundance.

When trying to lose arm flab, exercise and nutrition are only part of the equation. In fact, they aren’t even the most important parts of the equation.
There is so much free information out there that most women know how to eat and exercise in a relatively healthy way.
But most women do NOT know how to stick to said programs for the long haul. Why? Because their thought processes haven’t been optimized.
I struggled with up and down motivation for a very long time when trying to lose arm flab. So called self help books and motivational speakers only provided temporary motivation that would always end up fading away.
Luckily, I found some awesome work by David Burns M.D., that provided an extremely effective method for optimizing thought processes and maintaining motivation for the long haul. Central to his method is the identification of “cognitive distortions.”
And here are 3 of the said distortions that you should eliminate immediately from your internal dialogue if you want everlasting motivation:
1. Pressure phrases. Unfortunately, the “pain is weakness leaving the body” culture we live in has perpetuated the existence of pressure phrases. Never tell yourself you “should, must or oughta” go workout. Doing so will make you feel pressured and apathetic. Over the long run, these types of phrases will murder your motivation.
2. Labeling statements. If you ever find yourself attaching a label to a hiccup on your part, stop immediately. Labels (i.e., loser, worthless, slob, sloth) create the illusion that there is an internal problem with you that can be fixed. Instead of using labels, describe the situation that led to the hiccup so that you can avoid it in the future.
3. Minimization. Doing this will make you feel one inch tall. You see, with minimization you assume that your “true potential” is much smaller than it actually is. Always assume that you can do something, never assume that you can’t. Test your distorted assumptions with action.
If you want to lose arm flab, you have to have the right mental game plan in place. Without it, your motivation is likely to fade with time. Keeping the above in mind, will bring you one step closer to constant motivation.

The crazy answer is yes. Solid research has clearly shown a link between work conditions and weight gain. Thus, your job could be the source of your upper arm fat.
We know this because of some exhaustive research done in the UK. This research demonstrated that too much stress at work is related to poor nutrition, less activity and more fat!
So here is what to look out for at your job:
1. No control. If you aren’t in control, or if you feel like you aren’t in control, stress is going to rise too high. In fact, in many other areas of life, a lack of control is directly related to heightened stress hormones which can lead to more upper arm fat.
2. Tension. Does your neck get stiff? Do you feel tense? Uptight? Too much tension in the workplace is a recipe for disaster. Seek out a more comfortable environment within your workplace. If this isn’t possible, you may want to start looking…
3. Undefined expectations. Poorly defined work expectations or project expectations can lead to huge amounts of stress. Ask your superiors for more clearly defined goals and tell them that the increased clarity will allow you to get more work done for the company.
4. Job status. If you have a higher position within your company, you are more likely to be healthier. And if you can’t reach the top rungs at your workplace, seek out activities outside of work in which you can have a dominant role.
5. Letting your job title define you. You need to have other activities and hobbies that help define you as a person. Doing this will prevent the all too common emotional roller coasters that one-dimensional people go through.
Now keep in mind that changing your environment is much easier than changing yourself. So if you simply can no longer tolerate your job, please move on. Your body and your arms will thank you for it. And most likely, that upper arm fat will start to come off a little faster than before!

A good positive attitude is important to weight loss. Positive people usually are happier, more successful and more motivated than people who are negative. Weight loss requires a good “mental game”, like in tennis, having the right attitude is winning half the battle. We have to pay as much attention to remaining positive as we do on the technical aspects of weight loss such as how to exercise, what to eat, etc. So how does one remain positive at such a daunting task as weight loss?
Here are a few things you can try:
1) Small victories
Have shorter term goals so they are easier to achieve. Examples may be: not eating meat for one day, or running 5 minutes longer than the last day, or biking to work for a day. You get the rough idea. Setting shorter term goals makes it easier for to achieve them and therefore we are able to celebrate more often. This provides good motivation and a feeling of progress.
2) Don’t try so hard
Remember that this is something you WANT to do, not something you HAVE to do. No one is forcing you to lose weight, you are doing it on your own volition. So why make it so hard? If exercising three times a week is too hard, then try doing it twice. If that is too hard, then try doing it only once a week. Either way you are doing something good for yourself and you should feel good while doing it. Trying easier would make the process much more painless, and in doing so more likely to allow you to stay positive about the experience.
3) Group for support
Having a group or someone for support is a very effective to maintaining positive attitude and motivation. There are a many ways to find one. It could be a colleague, friend or family. Many support groups for weight loss also exist online. There should also be clubs and groups for outdoor activity in your area. Try a running club, or hiking group. You will get to meet new people and find support.
Remember that a positive attitude is half the battle. And as Winston Churchill once said, “Never, never, never, never give up.

Learning and applying how to get thin arms can be quite the challenge even when you are using an effective program. For the most part, diet and exercise are NOT the culprits. It’s your ability to stay motivated for extended periods of time that will guarantee success.
Unfortunately, this is where most thin-arm hopefuls fall off the wagon.
You see, it’s easy to start working towards a goal with oodles of motivation, but as time goes by that motivation begins to fade. Eventually, some women simply abandon their thin arm goal altogether.
So here are some tips to keep you on track to get thin arms:
1. Exercise your motivation muscle daily. Some women like to meditate, some like to use affirmations, and some like to write down their positive thoughts. Regardless of the approach, the key is to have a daily routine of mental strengthening. Just as you should be eating clean and exercising on a regular basis.
2. Don’t become reliant on superficial strategies. Many women simply listen to a motivational speech and expect to have oodles of endless willpower. Most times, however, the aftereffects last days. If you really want to maintain lasting motivation, you have to attack your complex thought processes at the root level.
3. Keep a log. There will come a point when negative thoughts begin to pop up into your head when learning how to get thin arms. There is no way around this. The best approach here is to keep a log of them. Then you can dissect them later on.
4. Do a reality check. Most times, you will greatly overestimate how hard something is. The best way to keep this effect in check, is to log perceived levels of effort and actual levels of effort. Before doing a task write down how hard you think it will be. Then, once completed write down how hard it actually was.
Now even if you follow all of the advice in this article, you are still going to face setbacks. This happens to everyone. The main difference between women that get thin arms and those that don’t, is how fast they bounce back. So never get discouraged if you fall off of the bandwagon, simply get right back on!

The research is crystal clear here: sugar addictions do exist. In fact, high sugar intakes alter levels of dopamine in the brain just as drugs do. Not a good scenario for your flabby arm goal.
You see, high levels of sugar consumption will chronically elevate the amount of insulin circulating in your blood. And insulin completely blocks the burning of arm fat. Therefore, eating lots of sugar will prevent you from obtaining flabby arm freedom.
Thus, it is absolutely critical that you overcome any sugar addiction you may have in order to get rid of those flabby arms.
So without further ado, here is how to overcome a sugar addiction to get rid of flabby arms:
1. Prepare for the cravings. If you mentally prepare for the withdrawal-like symptoms from eliminating sugar, you will be far better off than someone who simply tries to wing it. Prepare for the battle and you increase chances of victory.
2. Always stay full. Once your blood sugar drops, your brain will send you on a sugar bingeing hunt. So make sure you eat consistently and never starve.
3. Trick your nervous system. Your nervous system can only take in so much information at once. If you overload it with information, your sugar cravings will get blocked out. I recommend activities that require a lot of attention.
4. Have some artificial sugar. Chemistry can often give us very useful tools. In this case, artificial sweeteners can really help you beat a sugar addiction. You get all the flavor without any calories or insulin spikes. Just be careful, though, because the science is unclear about whether sweeteners are safe.
5. Have loose leaf teas. Yerba mate is your best bet here. This tea is so powerful that it can knock out your cravings for an entire day. The only catch here is that you may have some trouble sleeping. Make sure you have the loose leaf version.
Getting rid of flabby arms and sugar addictions do not mix. I strongly recommend that you attack your sugar addiction head on if you really want lean and toned arms. Once the sugar intake is lowered, insulin will go down and you will be well on your way to flabby arm freedom.

Diet pills alone will not provide an individual with long term weight loss whether the pills are natural or chemical. The idea that is presented by many advertisers that diet pills are the answer to weight loss woes does not include the absolute necessity for a person to change their eating and exercise habits to lose weight.
It is important that prior to losing weight an individual formulate a plan for weight loss. The plan should be holistic and include diet, exercise and natural diet pills. Natural diet pills do not promote weight loss. They stimulate the metabolism and a person will burn more calories when their metabolism is sped up.
Most middle age women find that even though they are doing the same exercises that they always have and eating the same foods that they still gain weight. This is usually because as one ages their metabolism slows down. So natural diet pills that are specifically designed to increase one’s metabolism are effective for these individuals.
There are many herbs that raise the metabolism and increase one’s ability to burn calories faster. But these herbal supplements also provide many other health services to the body and while one may find the word metabolism on some of the supplements they will rarely if ever see the words “diet pills” on any label. This is because herbal supplements that increase the metabolism are not diet pills.
One easy switch to increase the metabolism is to stop using unpolyunsaturated oil for cooking and eating. This oil slows down the metabolism and is also hard on the thyroid gland. Using coconut oil is one way to speed up the metabolism and can be used for most purposes that unpolyunsaturated oil can.
Catechin polyphenols increase the metabolism and burn calories. This is an herb found in green tea. While one can drink lots and lots of green tea it may be easier just to buy the herb in pill form at a health food store. There are many other herbs that increase the metabolism such as kelp and Garcinia Cantbogia.
By using a holistic approach of increasing the metabolism, eating healthier, and exercising regularly one can establish a routine that will not only promote health but also help one to lose the weight that they want. Reducing the intake of carbohydrates and calories will naturally make a person lose weight. Exercise will help to tone muscles and one will not be left with sagging skin.
Once an individual develops a healthier routine it is much easier to lose weight without the use of manufactured or chemical diet pills. The reward for taking a natural path to weight loss is that a person begins to feel better almost immediately and does not have to worry about side effects or long term illnesses resulting from the ingredients in the pills they have taken.
Using natural herbs gives an individual an opportunity to create a supplement plan that will work best for them. People are unique and have different reactions to different types of food and medication. A diet pill or supplement that may work well for one person will not work for another.
Doing the necessary homework to find out what works best for you will help you to achieve the weightloss success you desire without the need to buy diet pills on a regular basis. Once a diet and exercise plan in in effect and the results are showing it is very easy to stay on a plan and remain healthy.

The metabolism is the rate at which the body can burn calories when resting. This is also called the basal metabolic rate and the body can burn 60 to 75 percent of its energy when resting. When we begin to move the metabolism increases, and people that have more muscle than fat will burn more calories, they will be losing weight fast, as it takes more energy to maintain this muscle. Those people will just want more and more exercise to keep their metabolism running and will try to convince those fatter friends to go for a jog.
Some people however, have low metabolisms and a jog will seem like pure torture. They would rather sit and watch TV or sleep. These people are normally overweight or obese. The slow metabolism will actually cause the body to store more fat, and will add to the high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and other symptoms that are experienced by obese people. This is also called the metabolic syndrome, Syndrome X, or the insulin resistance syndrome.
To be consistent in your weight loss efforts is key. It is no good starving one week and then stuffing your face the next. Your body gets confused and will store extra energy when you don’t eat just in case, but then when you do eat you have far too many calories in your system. You must not go to either extreme, just eat normal food as regularly as 6 times a day (3 small meals and 2 snacks).
This will ensure that your body does not crave excessively or that you binge. The snacks should not be in excess of 100 calories, and you will soon find that eating that often is actually challenging. You may not have realized that you were eating more than 6 times a day by snacking all the way from one meal to the next. Becoming aware of your body is very important, as you body will not lose weight by itself.
In today’s hectic life, most people do not take the time to eat proper food with high sources of vitamins and mineral. While taking a supplement to make up for certain vitamins is recommended, one also needs to get certain vitamins and minerals from the foods we eat. These can go a long way to preventing illnesses, improving metabolism, and converting extra calories into energy a lot quicker. Calcium is one of these as well as the B vitamins and Zinc.
Do not diet by cutting calories and starving yourself. Insist on a healthy, normal eating plan that will change your life style and make it easier to maintain your body. Still have the foods that you want, but in moderation. Start slowly and work your way towards better habits. Swap high sugar products for ones with no sugar or gluten, and do not skip meals.
Taking diet pills and weight loss products should not be done if you are pregnant and especially if you are too young. With actresses and models portraying a certain image, younger girls are being affected by this. The trick at a young age is to prevent in a healthy and positive way. Start teaching your children good eating habits and cut out the fast foods.
Do not pig overeat any one type of food. You can have chocolate, because that too has its benefits, but do not eat an entire slab in one sitting. Have anything you want, but have less of it. You must keep eating the same proportions and sizes of meals every day. Try not to skip meals, especially breakfast, and do not overcompensate for missing a meal if you do. Just get back to your routine by doing the correct thing.
Weight loss can be accomplished in many different ways. http://www.pagestacker.com/en/private/jmQQRjWy- Results take effort.
